I am sorry I have been a bad bloger lately and I do not even have an excuse, I will try to improve over summer.
Today is the national day in Sweden and for the first time we are celebrating it with a bank holiday. So what does the national day mean to the Swedes? To be honest to most people in Sweden not a great deal. For my part it was nice with a day of work and I “celebrated” by cleaning my flat and do some shopping (most of the shops kept open). I believe the lack of interest for the national day in Sweden amongst the Swedes is due to that we do not really have a reason for it. The day does not mark a special victory but only the day for Gustav Vasas accession to the throne year 1523, see is that really something to celebrate? By the way I bought two really nice cushion covers for my sofa to day, which made me happy!
