Nothing in particular

It is late and I am going to bed after a looong day with painting, painting and painting the bedroom wall (but it does look nice, so it is rewarding to). Spring is staring to come to Sweden but very gradually, still the leaves on the trees have not appeared. I am longing for Brighton where it according to Tobia is full spring by now.
During three weeks I take part in a walk-competition at my workplace. To day I waked to IKEA, I wanted to by a curtain for the bedroom but I also put some steps to my walkmeter.

Easter in chocolate heaven

It has been Easter, a very lovely but for my part unchristian event. I spent my Easter weekend in Switzerland where I visited Tobia in Bern. Imagine spending Easter in chocolate heaven and you know roughly how I felt. If Easter is big in Sweden and the UK it felt even bigger in partly catholic Switzerland. As opposed to Swedens “smågodis” candies and in line with the UK they eat mostly chocolate and the shops and shop windows were loaded with chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs etc. In Sweden we have painted paper eggs that we fill with candies, I did not see that in Switzerland. Also Easter bunnies seem to be more common in Switzerland and in the UK than they are in Sweden where it is more common with Easter chickens. In the window of the large supermarket Loeb they even had real Easter bunnies jumping along, soooo adorable. As you can see on the photo to the right one of them even whispered a secret Easter-wish in my ear. There where also Christian events on the streets of Bern, haven’t seen that in Stockholm or Brighton.

Bern was also a very nice city as you can see from the photos and the spring had arrived. To all luck it is +15 degrees in Uppsala/Stockholm to day, I should have hated to come back to snow. Did you know that Bern is named after a bear winter lair? The city was built on the place for the winter lair. They still have bears living in Bern that you can visit; you see one on the photos.

Now I am going to IKEA to by a ladder and some paint to paint our bedroom walls with.
