Etechare

Flera favoritbloggare är på väg till Etech:
  • Tom Coates från plasticbag.org: Anyway, I'm only around in San Francisco until Saturday, at which point I head off to San Diego for ETech. There's a bunch of cool stuff happening down there this year, including a Yahoo Developers party, which I can recommend people should go to if they're around. At relatively short notice I'm also going to be doing another pass at the Native to a Web of Data talk that I did at the Carson Workshops thing earlier in the month. I'm hoping to have had an opportunity to expand around some stuff and take another pass at some of the meatier concepts, and I'm really looking forward to getting the reactions of a very different audience.
  • Matt Webb från mindhacks.com: I (Matt) will be there, speaking about my new project, playsh, the Playful Shell.
  • Heiko Hebig vill veta vad man gör i San Diego.
  • Jane McGonigal från Avant Game: Headed next week to San Diego for O'Reilly's 2006 Emerging Technologies conference? Then put the Tuesday night special event, a Werewolf Game hosted by yours truly, on your calendar right now. Or you WILL be devoured by flesh-hungry technologists before you can say 'full moon.' [...] It's going to be classic Werewolf play with a couple of extra elements designed to help us test the individual intuition and collective intelligence of the players. (Hos HUMlab hittar man förresten en intressant föreläsning av Jane McGonigal från i maj förra året om "Puppetmasters and performances: Pervasive gaming in practice").
  • Richard Giles åker ända från Australien: Seriously, it’s 10,000 miles. 2042 from Perth to Sydney, 7419 from Sydney to San Francisco, and 458 from San Francisco to San Diego. Add a touch for car trips to and from airports, and I’ll clock up 10,000. I’m guessing that I’ll be one of the furthest travelled for the conference, perhaps the actual furthest.
  • danah boyd skriver: Still, as broken as they are, i’m interested in exploring the tools that might lead to entertaining interactions or at least to the development of better systems to do so. One of the ones i’m curious about is AirTroductions. Yeah, it kinda has dating overtones to it, but i’m still curious if it’d ever work. At the very least, who else is en route to Etech or SXSW or IASummit when? I have to imagine that lots of folks i know will be passing through the same airports in the next month.
